Bid Information

Richard Naughton was appointed superintendent of schools in November of 2007. He holds a Bachelor degree in special education and a Masters degree in community education from Eastern Michigan University. Mr. Naughton earned an Education Specialist degree in central office administration from Wayne State University. Mr. Naughton's professional career includes over 21 years of experience. In Garden City Public Schools where he spent 15 years as a teacher, principal and the director of students. For nearly 6 years, he was the superintendent of schools in Addison Community Schools located in the Irish Hills of Lenawee County.

Mr. Naughton is married to Julie who is a High School math teacher. They have two daughters Katlyn who is a sophomore at the University of Michigan and Kelly who is a senior at Addison High School.
