Board President


Biography:

Scott Ferguson and his wife are lifelong residents of Huron Township and graduated fro Huron High School. After High School, Mr. Ferguson began working full time while continuing his education, earning a degree in applied science in quality systems. He and his wife have raised their two sons in Huron Township. The eldest of the two graduated from Huron High School in 2013 and the youngest currently attends Huron High School.

Name: Cory Roupe
Biography:

Cory is a Huron High School Alumni, as a Class of 1997 graduate. He met his wife, Cassandra, in high school and they were married in 2000. They have three (3) children, one attending Henry Ford College and two in Huron High School. He has been employed by AT&T since 2000, as a Customer Service Specialist. For the past five (5) years he has been training new hires and helping enhance the skills of the more senior technicians in a classroom setting. He served as a Union Steward for one year and Vice President of CWA Local 4018 for two years. With the help of his wife and Cory Pengelly, the three of them started the New Boston Braves Running Club in 2011. Along with coaching the running club, he also coaches the Renton Junior High School Cross Country teams.

  • Biography:

    Dana Town is a lifelong resident of Huron Township. Her parents, husband and three children have all graduated or currently attend the Huron Schools. Dana hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and works for Promedica in their Diabetes Education and Nutrition Department. She was the PTO Treasurer at Brown Elementary for four (4) years and an active member of the Brown PTO for nine (9) years. Dana has also coached for the Huron Little League and Huron Youth Basketball Association for many years. She was elected to the Huron School Board in 2018 and serves as member on the Finance and Policy Committees.

Biography:

Jennifer grew up in Huron Township and graduated from Huron High School in 2001. She continued her education and obtained a Teaching Certificate and Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University. Jennifer and her husband have twin daughters and a son who currently attend Miller Elementary and Renton Jr High School. Jennifer is active in the community, serving on the Romulus Library Board, serving as the President of the women’s group at Willow United Methodist Church, and volunteering as the Treasurer for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. In her spare time, she enjoys running, staying active outdoors, and spending time with her family and dog.

Biography:

Aaron has been a resident of Huron for nearly his entire life. He attended Brown, Renton, and graduated from Huron High School in 1999. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Madonna University in 2003 and his Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2005. Aaron has run his own law practice in Taylor since 2006 and has served as a past-president of the Taylor Rotary and also the Downriver Bar Association. Aaron has coached youth soccer and basketball in Huron where he and his wife are currently raising three (3) children.

Biography:

Julie moved to Huron Township in 2013 where she lives with her husband, who is a Huron graduate, two kids, Brady and Avery and their two dogs. She graduated from Western Michigan University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She holds her Master’s Degree in Health Administration.

Biography:

Josh Monte and his wife have resided in Huron Township for over 23 years. They have two daughters who attend Huron High School. Josh has over 27 years of local law enforcement experience. He attended Eastern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master of Science Degree in Technology Studies with a concentration in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Josh is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and is currently serving as an executive board member with the Michigan Chapter of the FBI National Academy. Josh and his family volunteer their time with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan.
