Letter from the Wayne County Prosecutors Office

Dear Huron Parents and Families,

Recently, a letter was sent to school districts from the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney, Kim Worthy. This letter asked all Wayne County school districts to send the letter to parents of the students within our districts.

Prosecutor Worthy’s letter discusses the trends that the state has seen in recent years, pertaining to school threats and threats to commit school violence. The letter asks parents and guardians to have conversations with school aged students in hopes of explaining the seriousness of school threats and threats of violence.

Please understand that we have not received any threats of violence to our district; however, we are sharing the letter from the prosecutor in order to communicate Prosecutor Worthy's letter, while fostering an opportunity to have discussions with your student(s).

A copy of the letter is available for download here.

If you have questions pertaining to the letter, please feel free to contact the district at 734-782-2441.

Thank you for taking the time to read the letter.
